A favoured holiday spot since the Victorian era, Blackpool is a traditional English seaside town. Amusement arcades and crazy golf courses line the promenade and dotted between them are plenty of places to pick up fresh fish ‘n’ chips and Blackpool rock.
On the 5-mile sandy beach, children can enjoy Punch and Judy shows and donkey rides. Old-fashioned entertainment at its best. At the other end of the scale is the Blackpool Pleasure Beach, a fairground complex comprising a variety of rides, including The Big One - once the world’s tallest and steepest rollercoaster. They actually had to get permission from nearby Blackpool Airport to erect it!
More seaside pursuits are on the town’s 3 piers, one of which is Grade II listed. However, the most recognisable landmark is the Blackpool Tower which houses a circus, 4D cinema and a world-renowned ballroom, to name a few. Modelled on the Eiffel Tower, it is spectacularly lit during the annual Blackpool Illuminations, when the whole town is bathed in bright lights. The trams plying the prom are also lit. Look out for the one shaped like a ship.
A popular stag and hen do destination, Blackpool offers accommodation ranging from North Shore hotels to South Shore B&Bs - see Booking.com for the best choice.

My partner and I love coming to Blackpool, despite run down beach front buildings there is a lovely beach to visit and sooooo much to do from shopping, clubbing etc. to walking and even swimming when the weather is hot. It is just a shame that the council is not investing money into improving the town as it is our favourite seaside place to visit.
It is very easy to get around as there are buses, taxis and trams, so plenty of choices or just a nice long walk if you stay in the centre.
We love to do some shopping, eating out and long walks on the beach but there are a lot of attractions for everyone including the wonderful Blackpool tower.

Blackpool itself has loads of attractions and fantastic for families but not really for us.Transport was fantastic and travel cheap. We found it difficult to find a sit in restaurant.Lots of fast food places but not what we wanted.
Stayed here for a few nights but didn't book breakfast, but would like to say what a credit to Agnes and David for such a superb hotel..clean, modern and the little finishing touches that make it so special, anyone booking this place will love it nothing negative to say about it at all, the location is so good too only a few mins walk into Blackpool, very central, will be back in the near future...a really warm welcome too from such a lovely couple who make you feel like a family member nothing too much trouble, a credit to you !!
Booked last minute as other hotel was unsuitable when arrived, this hotel was perfect 👍 clean, close to the north pier where all the night life is and blackpool tower
Staff was really friendly and even gave us a upgrade due to the room available being twin beds and we wanted a double bed gave us a nice sea view room and anything we asked was give eg fresh towels extra coffee for the room
Bathroom was lovely with led mirror, room was clean and comfortable bed, would definitely stay there again
The proximity to the beach and main entertainment venues of Blackpool - only a short walk from Blackpool Tower and the seafront. Excellent full English breakfast. Friendly bar and staff. Limited free parking in front of the hotel. Struggled to find parking near hotel on New Year’s Eve, but managed to find parking at
Caunce Street/Church Street Car Park, Cookson St, (Open 24 hours)
The next day I managed to find a spot in the car park adjacent to the hotel, which was a bonus!
Lovely and clean seafront hotel with great hosts. Within walking distance of all of Blackpool 's main attractions. Great double room with desk space and hanging area. Kettle provided and a flatscreen TV. En suite shower and toilet with towels provided.
Decided to have the breakfast option and was supplied with a plentiful choice of cereal and toast with jams then a full English breakfast that was hot and very tasty.
Would definitely come back again
Many thanks x
The bed was good and comfortable The hotel was in a good location for me as I have set places I visit when in Blackpool. I also like to walk. Did not use the breakfast facilities as I do not eat alot in a morning and like to chose what I want the day I awake up. Downstairs at the hotel they have a grea bar which sells real ales and has music and seating which w\as very nice. Dont drink beer myself but thought it a good idea to add to the good idea of that bar.
Lovely appointed hotel. This is Blackpool so the rooms are never massive but the room had everything required and tastefully done. You can tell time and money is being spent on raising the standard of the building and its rooms. The staff are all lovely, very helpful and welcoming. Great location, a very short walk to the seafront but not noisy. Lovely breakfast. Never tried any of the hotels facilities as we enjoyed ourselves too much in Blackpool.
Hotel is exceptionally neat, clean and tidy. Hotel manager Steve is very friendly and welcoming. He looked after us very well. Breakfast is amazing and many more facilities that surpassed our expectations. Definitely coming back for long or short term stays. Best family friendly hotel in Blackpool and on top its situated within walking distance to seaside and all attractions and amenities. Again, special thanks to Steve to make our staying magical.
The owner was so friendly and the rooms were great and cosy. A couple minutes walk from Blackpool centre, with plenty of affordable food places around. I would really recommend staying here as it's affordable and welcoming.
Ps. This was my first time travelling without family and the Balkan hotel was the best to start my travelling experience ☺️
Absolutely everything the hotel was spotless the breakfast was great also it was nice and quiet which for blackpool is very rare there is nothing I can fault at all the hotel was fantastic and Simon was amazing and made us feel right at home.
clean room, family friendly accommodating staff, even made breakfast early for us as we had to rush off. Located close to the seaside and pleasure beach. Public parking nearby. For a cheap hotel in Blackpool this hotel deserves 10/10
The owners and staff were outstanding. They made such an effort to make me feel special for my birthday. The hotel room had everything, iron, hairdryer etc. The breakfast was delicious and great location to Blackpool attractions.
Can't knock it for the price really. Its a Grand Hotel with compelling history nice staff warm welcome and I feel very privealaged to have visited Blackpool and stayed in the finest Hotel on the seafront overlooking the sea.
The breakfast was absolutely delicious , the room was very spacious and well equipped, the hotel is in a quiet area of Blackpool with ample road parking , the family running this hotel are wonderful hosts.
The hotel. Has a good. Location for access to trams to Bispham and Blackpool and surrounding area room was clean and warm when getting back from seafront walk and on site aprking a good thing for guests
The location is a walk away from all Blackpool has to offer but at the same time far enough away not to be disturbed by the amenities of the seafront. I would definitely stay again.
Lovely hotel right on seafront with a tram stop nearby to get into Blackpool. Lovely bar area and all staff were very welcoming. Breakfast was great lots variety.
